, the movement's 2nd big denomination. the Remnant Church considers itself to become a "remnant" of the church founded by Joseph Smith Jr. in 1830 and "reorganized" by his son Joseph Smith III in 1860. A Remnant Church was "renewed" & incorporated as a separate organization around 2000. Members of the Remnant Church imagine in the doctrine of Lineal Succession. A Prophet of the Remnant Church, President Frederick Niels Larsen, occurs as straight descendant of Joseph Smith Jr. A church has its headquarters touching a Temple Lot, across from either a temple and headquarters of the Community of Christ.
